Paul Didsayabutra

Manager of Grid Planning

Paul Didsayabutra comes to ColumbiaGrid with 12 years of experience in the energy industry, most recently working for BrightSource Energy Incorporation which is a developer and co-owner of the current largest Solar Thermal Power Plant in the world. Prior to joining BrightSource, he worked at CAISO for nine years under various capacities. During his tenure at CAISO, his works involved both the technical studies such as Transmission Planning, Generation Interconnection, Resource Adequacy and supporting the development of various tariff and policies such as Transmission Planning Process (FERC Order 890) and other related issues.

Paul received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering as well as a Certificate in Business Administration. He is a member of IEEE Smart Grid, IEEE PES, and Sierra Club.

A native of Chonburi, Thailand, Paul enjoys traveling, hiking and photography.

Patrick Damiano

President & CEO

Mr. Damiano has over 25 years of experience in the electric power industry. His experience covers a broad range of disciplines including management, wholesale power marketing, resource planning, transmission access administration, and electric and natural gas trading management. Currently, he serves as President & CEO for ColumbiaGrid; a non-profit membership corporation focused on coordinated regional transmission planning and coordinated regional solutions to the on-going challenges facing the industry. Mr. Damiano holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. Prior to joining ColumbiaGrid in April of 2011, he had previously worked for investor-owned utilities, an affiliated power marketing company, and private consulting companies, including his own consulting company.
