Northern Mid C Joint Operational Study Team Overview
The Northern Mid Columbia (NMC) Joint Project is intended to mitigate the impacts of the Douglas PUD and Grant PUD projects, however, the NMC Joint Project will not be energized until after the Douglas and Grant projects have been put into service. The Northern Mid Columbia Joint Operational Study Team has been formed to address the operational implications of this sequencing as well as other unanticipated operational issues, if any. The study team shall coordinate joint operational studies and recommend to the Parties interim operational limits or interim operational procedures. This study team will be guided by the following principles:
- Assure that the impact(s) of the completed project(s) on the interconnected systems are at levels acceptable to the Parties owning the affected asset(s) until the remaining project(s) are completed;
- Avoid exacerbating the interconnected system conditions that the preferred plan of service is intended to mitigate; and
- Assure that all recommendations are consistent with applicable regulatory requirements and standards and Good Utility Practices.
