Senior Planning Engineer
Larry joins ColumbiaGrid having recently retired from the Bonneville Power Administration after a 38 year career in the Transmission Planning and Customer Service engineering organizations of BPA. He brings a wealth of experience as a study team lead related to the reliability and expansion plans of the Pacific Northwest region including conducting system impact and interconnection studies, reliability assessments for NERC/WECC compliance certification and was a co-lead for BPA’s Attachment K regional planning coordination process.
Larry is a native of Spokane, WA and attended Washington State University, Pullman, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He is married with four grown children and lives in Oregon.

Paul Didsayabutra comes to ColumbiaGrid with 12 years of experience in the energy industry, most recently working for BrightSource Energy Incorporation which is a developer and co-owner of the current largest Solar Thermal Power Plant in the world. Prior to joining BrightSource, he worked at CAISO for nine years under various capacities. During his tenure at CAISO, his works involved both the technical studies such as Transmission Planning, Generation Interconnection, Resource Adequacy and supporting the development of various tariff and policies such as Transmission Planning Process (FERC Order 890) and other related issues.
Paul received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering as well as a Certificate in Business Administration. He is a member of IEEE Smart Grid, IEEE PES, and Sierra Club.
A native of Chonburi, Thailand, Paul enjoys traveling, hiking and photography.
