PSAST Expansion Plan Approved

ColumbiaGrid’s Puget Sound Area Study Team has produced its first 10-year Transmission Expansion Plan for the Puget Sound Area. This plan identifies six transmission projects that, when completed, will provide economical and reliable service to Puget Sound Area load while minimizing the risk of curtailing power transfers between the Northwest and Canada.  For a variety of system conditions, multiple generation and temperature scenarios were studied to evaluate alternative reinforcements and develop the final plan. The plan is available on the CG website at http://www.columbiagrid.org/PSAST-overview.cfm.
