Dynamic Transfer Capability Task Force Phase 2 Report Posted

The Phase 2 Report for the DTC Task Force has been posted.  The report proposes a methodology that Transmission Providers could apply to calculate limits on Dynamic Transfers for their system.  The report also defines terms to assist in determining the acceptable limits on variability, including:  TVL (Transfer Variability Limit).  The DTC Task Force was formed in October 2010 to develop a technical consensus on how to facilitate increased Dynamic Transfers without compromising system reliability.  This is the second of three reports the Task Force plans to publish before concluding its work in Fall 2011.

"In ColumbiaGrid, we now have the ability to resolve the three fundamental transmission questions: What transmission facilities should be built? Who should build them? Who should pay for them? With ColumbiaGrid's independent staff and process to resolve disputes, we can answer these questions effectively and in a timely fashion to facilitate our region's new resource development needs."
