Paul Didsayabutra named Manager of Grid Planning

Paul Didsayabutra has been named Manager of Grid Planning, effective today, May 1, 2015. Mr. Didsayabutra had previously been performing in an interim leadership role since January.
“Over the past four months, and since joining ColumbiaGrid in early 2013, Paul’s technical expertise and leadership skills have demonstrated that he is the right person to lead ColumbiaGrid’s grid planning team into the future,” says ColumbiaGrid CEO Patrick Damiano; “Paul is well-respected in the Northwest and throughout the western interconnection and is a great addition to our leadership team.” Mr. Didsayabutra will be responsible for leading a highly-skilled team of engineers to fulfill ColumbiaGrid’s single grid planning process, including to administer the Corporation’s grid planning agreements such as the Planning and Expansion Functional Agreement (PEFA) and the Order 1000 Functional Agreement.
Mr. Didsayabutra has over 14 years of experience in the electric power industry. He has a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and a Certificate in Business Administration.
Mr. Damiano added, “In naming Paul to this leadership role, ColumbiaGrid has further solidified its excellent grid planning team, consisting of Paul and four other highly-qualified engineers with expertise in all facets of grid and economic planning.”
