Patrick Damiano to serve as Acting President & CEO

Patrick Damiano  Patrick Damiano to serve as acting President & CEO

Patrick Damiano, the Vice President of Development, will begin serving as acting president & CEO on April 1, 2013, replacing Allen Burns who is leaving the company at the end of March.

“We appreciate Allen’s contributions to ColumbiaGrid and wish him the best,” says    ColumbiaGrid board member Ed Sienkiewicz; “Patrick’s familiarity with the company and the leadership skills he has shown connected with the MC Initiative in evaluating the merits of an Energy Imbalance Market make him a perfect fit to help us through this transition”.

With over 25 years of experience in the electric power industry, Patrick began consulting for ColumbiaGrid during its formative year in 2006 and joined the company as a full-time employee in April 2011. Prior employment included working for investor-owned utilities (two of which are ColumbiaGrid’s larger members), as well as for an affiliated power marketing company. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Washington State University.

Adds Sienkiewicz, “Once we have a third board member seated,” for which an election is scheduled for April 17th, “we will begin collaborating and proceed expeditiously to select a permanent president & CEO”.
