Study Team: Geomagnetic Disturbance (GMD) Study Team

Geomagnetic Disturbance (GMD) Study Team Overview

This Study Team was formed to prepare and initiate technical studies that are required as part of TPL-007-1 standard (Transmission System Planned Performance During Geomagnetic Disturbances) and its work scope can be divided into multiple phases. Currently, this group is working on Phase I which focuses on preparing the data and base cases for GMD study. During this step, applicable GMD data will be reviewed for the accuracy and completeness before they can be incorporated in the applicable base cases. It is anticipated that these tasks will be completed by the end of 2017
