Members of ColumbiaGrid, members of NTTG, the Pacific Northwest Generating Cooperative (PNGC), and the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) have collaborated on an interim study methodology, and Statement of Work including a study plan to study Variable Transfer Limits of the Northwest AC Intertie, Bonneville’s network system, and possibly the other Bonneville interties. It is anticipated that those entities will continue to collaborate and share information and data necessary to study Variable Transfer Limits.
The Parties to the Variable Transfer Limits Functional Agreement intend to engage ColumbiaGrid to coordinate a study to determine the Variable Transfer Limits of the Northwest AC Intertie, Bonneville’s network system, and possibly the other Bonneville interties, by implementing the interim Variable Transfer Limits study methodology, and Statement of Work developed by the collaborative effort, described above. This study is anticipated to be completed by October 2014, in conjunction with the start of the PacifiCorp / CAISO Energy Imbalance Market in October 2014.
