Redispatch Pilot Project Overview
The careful redispatch of generation may be a useful tool to relieve transmission congestion. ColumbiaGrid has developed a conceptual methodology to effect vuluntary redispatch in a multi-control area region using simple and easily implemented tools. We plan to develop this concept further in a joint initiative with Northern Tier Transmission Group (NTTG) and WestConnect.
