Redispatch Pilot Project Details
Under the terms of DSRFA, ColumbiaGrid will monitor and evaluate the Bonneville Power Administration’s Reliability Redispatch Pilot project scheduled for the summer of 2007. The project aims to explore operational ways to relieve congestion on the transmission grid, and at a minimum, ColumbiaGrid will be involved in evaluating the pilot and will provide a comprehensive report to the reliability agreement parties. The report will include a recommendation for next steps and an assessment of the potential for ColumbiaGrid to undertake a role in the future with a redispatch program that involves more than one transmission system.
